Hi Tina, A wonderful capture of the useless waste of time : "THUMB DIDDLING" looking machines. IPHONES ETC. What I have a hard time understanding about all these so called "smart phones & so called cameras?? Is? People visit new locations as some of these folks are, yet all of them are thumb diddling instead of enjoying life about them! Go to a restaurant and table after table the guests are thumb diddling instead of enjoying food, wine and " real life conversation!" Even though my number one son Ted Jnr. is working on a photo project using some type of "Smart phone camera." I'm completely blown away with his images and in some cases during early evening hours of minimal light situations. Quite honestly, AMAZED! No you folks haven't seen photo results by this son Ted in action. I'm posting a few on another "Photo Post only shortly" that he is as his brother Scott shooting sports. (He is doing Sochi Winter Olympics.)" But Ted also has a wonderful photographic accountability! He down loads to my computer, tweaks a few and I've made some amazing 8.5X11 prints on "Fine Art Matte paper!" That poo-pooos my whining about these new Iphones and cameras. They still come down to..... "The talent handling the gear!" I suppose if I had one I wouldn't be such a whiner about the useless waste of time and observing life around me as I see daily by the thousands of thousands of people. It still leaves me asking / wondering... "What did we do before these gadgets came along?" The truth for me? I believe we were more engaged in real life conversation. We observed and enjoyed our surroundings far more . Yes even though we may have had a Leica on our shoulder? Or maybe I should just go back to bed and take this holiday weekend off?? ;-) cheers, ted PS: Watch for the IPHONE photos shortly. > On a square in Florence: > > http://www.pbase.com/tinamanley/image/154423250 > > Who's having more fun?! > > C&C greatly appreciated. > > Tina
