That adapter would definitely have some advantages over the Novoflex. The
coding of the lens and the automatic magnification for focusing would be
very nice. It looks like it might be too narrow for full frame, however.

With respect to the lens coding of the EXIF, I will travel with a 2-lens
kit -- OEM 35mm and Leica 75mm. So, I'll know which lens was used. But
for more than a single non-OEM optic, the lack of coding is a hassle.

The OEM 35 triggers a magnified view for fine focusing. With the 75 I have
to push 2 buttons. (Why 2 Sony???)

While the Sony is said to be the most flexible and "customizable" of the
current crop, to not allow one to set up a single button for the focus
magnification seems an oversight. (It may be that I just have not yet
figured it out.)

The Sony apparently has the ability to run custom "apps." What this might
open up is very interesting to consider. At this point and I my level of
ability to access the Sony world, I can't tell how open or useful these
might be.

One irony in this for me is that it was the ability of rangefinders to use
small, higher-quality wide angles was a major reason I switched away from
SLR. Luckily, for me, the software ability to stitch panoramas and do
focus stacking has caused me to not carry wider lenses than the 35 for most
occasions anyway.
