Hi Jim,

are you deleting them to the deleted folder? If so, it 
may be full and a bit unresponsive. Run "empty deleted" 
(right click on the deleted folder for the drop down 
list) and then compact (right click again) on the 
deleted folder (just to make sure it's clean) should 
work perfectly after that.

You can also look in the properties of the deleted 
folder and click on repair - I don't really know what 
it does, but it hasn't harmed anything yet:-)

I find it takes sometimes takes a while to delete when 
I select multiple files.
