Helps keep him alert, along with his other hobbies of photography and computers. He usually works with 500 pieces, but is now working with a 1000 piece puzzle. There is a network of puzzle people in his 55+ neighborhood that share them and discuss techniques. He will sort the pieces on cardboard pieces by color or patterns, and then work on the border before filling it in.
