Subject: [Leica] Where is M240 made?

At various times Leica put its brand on cameras and included camera
parts made in Japan (Fuji, Panasonic, Minolta), Portugal, Canada (M4,
Noctilux, Leica 72), the USA (Leica USA lenses made by Wollensak, Kodak
sensors). They probably used components made in China and Asian sweat
shops but didn't talk about it. I know that some of the shutter
curtains for the III series were made in Czechoslovakia. Still the
cameras were labeled "Made in Germany."

Ted failed to mention that the Leicas made in Canada were lubricated
with maple syrup. Sweetened the image, I suppose.
