We visited an old mask and magic shop in Barcelona with Lluis. He and the
madam had an animated discussion, and I can tell you, the hands were a
vital element to the 'language' as you can see here in two shots.

I asked Lluis afterwards and yes they were speaking Catalan. The hunger
for independence from Spain is everywhere. Flags draped from 30% of the
balconies---- and there are a lot of balconies in Barcelona !!!

Viva Catalonia; the striped flag is of Catalonia, and Lluis tells me the
star/triangle flag with the stripes was inspired by Cuba and their fight
for freedom, and is a flag which will 'disappear' when independence is
won.

A proud people, proud heritage and lovely language: the hands have it ;-)
