My camera has been mis-behaving too much for bird photos but it's OK for 
Monday Flowers:

This is commonly known as Indian Paintbrush; it was at the Lyons Creek 
trailhead in El Dorado National Forest, not far from Sacramento.  Technical 
stuff: R8/DMR, 280mm f/4 APO-Macro-Telyt-R, UET-R extension tube and tripod. 
 All comments welcome.
