Our local paper laid off most of the writers and photogs. They also went to
a pay to view website. The result has been less local coverage, out of date
websites, breaking news sections with 3 day old news and bad video and
unwanted furloughs. The advertising and party pix in the entertainment
portion makes the majority of the income for them.
The photogs that survived the cuts aren't that happy with the changes.
