Since the USA and the UK represent large marketing areas the disclosure is usually made in English. In addition, indication of the place of origin of a product may also serve as a surrogate indication of quality (or lack thereof). So the phrase "Made in Germany" on a French website about the Leica Mini m would not be unusual.
