Every waking moment seemed to be spent in foraging for food and feeding the chicks, usually one chick to each parent. Surprisingly, unlike the shy behaviour that I had come across elsewhere, they were not perturbed in the least bit having vehicles that emitted strange clicking sounds from within around them as they went about the business of feeding the chicks. Here are three studies of this spectacularly beautiful bird, all taken late in the evening when they seemed to be most active: Calling: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/EAfrica/2013/Amboseli_20130228_02366.jpg.html Grooming: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/EAfrica/2013/Amboseli_20130228_02592.jpg.html Family Portrait: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/EAfrica/2013/Amboseli_20130301_03739.jpg.html Please see LARGE.
