Hello

My Nikon F 646xxxx with NKG engraving, has a huge gap between the finder 
skirt and body when I mount an old NKG flat top waist level finder.  
Huge as in 2~3 mm.

But the hooks do lock.

I doubt this is normal, but, any others with this vintage have this issue?
