One of the major manufacturers is very likely to bring out a non-Bayer
array sensor in the next 12-18 months that gets around the Foveon
patents.  The basic idea is great, but Sigma just haven't been able to
deliver a product that takes maximum advantage of the potential
benefits.

Their 35/1.4 and 85/1.4 SLR lenses are class-leading when you get a
good one, but again the QC can be spotty.
