I think there is a practical side to the decision for the 50 Lux or
Nocti....

The advantage in the Nocti is its 1) faster speed, 2) More limited DOF,
allowing for greater subject isolation, 3) fingerprint (although I have been
told the earlier Nocti had the print, the present one is not the same), and
4) need to recalibrate to the specific body you use , yearly (from postings
by Bob Adler).

The advantage of the Lux is 1) smaller size, 2) ease of focus at F1.4 vs
F0.95, and 3) tack sharpness, if that is what you desire.

The practical side says... can YOU focus an F0.95 correctly? I don't mean
once in a blue moon, but say 99% of the time and hit the focus spot? At
F0.95?

Further, if you are shooting 95% of your images in B+W, why get a color
camera?
