I look at it as if you are painting with the camera and the clock.

That is very poetic! A photo is a slice of time and then you can shuffle the 
slices in photoshop to produce an altered version.

Thanks for the insight. I'm tending to do rather than think about it. 
Perhaps Dr. Ted's influence. :-)
