M stands for Maestro I think!
Same processer as in the S which is called that.

>From all I can tell so far the M-E is 18MP's vs. the M which is 24 making it
a lower priced alternative. But I've only skimmed the Leica releases so far.


Having just seen a movie last night shot in 70mm film and projected as such
I'm looking forward to seeing one soon shot soon with modern cutting edge
Leica glass using a Leica M-0 to shoot it with. Or selected scenes.
