Similar, there is a thicker bread which wraps around rather than a pitta 
split open. Usually in Greece it is slabs of real meat which are cut through 
rather than the usual "thing" on a rotating spit......

Ah, thank you Jim. Sounds like what we Brits call a kebab. I remember 
getting confused bt the word 'submarine' when we first visited the US as the 
word had not hit our shores yet, the food had but the word hadn't.
