Subject: [Leica] M8 surgery

The recent contributions by Lluis and others motivated me to send my M8 in 
for repair. I got an estimate today for $325, which is somewhere around an 
annual visit of Judy (pooch) to the vet.

I should get it back in about 3 weeks, and hope to be back in action soon 
thereafter. 

It has been a long, frustrating road over the past 5 years, but Carmen 
Vargas at Leica has been helpful, and I'm very encouraged.
