I  bet Ken Ruth (  http://www.baldmtn.com  <http://www.baldmtn.com/> )  or
DAG could easily modify the cold shoe TU to fire at least strobe triggers,
Maybe even fix them to run an SF 24D.

They could rob parts from a Nikon SC28 remote cord.

It might be pricey.
