Hi Doug,
I had one of those and the 400mm match. Once one has it in hands it's an
amazing tool to work with.

I'm sure you know?  But just in case, there is a "close-up tube" that
allows you to do a "sort of macro shooting" as well. 
A completely different perspective, one might say a new way of looking at
wild life and small critters when you get an opportunity to be fortunate
enough to be close. :-)

The Novoflex variant has a variable-length extension tube built in.  I keep
a little friction on the extension tube section and push or pull as needed.
Minimum focus with the 560mm lens head is about 12'.  Full-frame
butterflies :)
