Note: The words "caveat emptor" were invented by a software guy to protect his job when the software he was writing was found to be full of bugs. The word "bugs" refers back to a time when computers were made from vacuum tubes and relays, and they had actual bugs running around inside causing faults. DDT cured the problem but for software folk, it was declared illegal to use DDT on them ( not the bugs, the programmers). Thus we still have bugs.....
