OK... Positive reinforcement.... If you are used to a DSLR, the M8 is a bit
"basic". ( read that as few buttons....)

For the foreseeable future, why not set the ISO to 160 and forget it?
   Push SET button, first item in the table... set for 160, push SET to get
the camera to remember it.....
EV=0
WB=AUTO
Compression =DNG

Push MENU
Lens detection... set to ON+UV/IR or OFF
AUTO ISO SETUP.. Set to Lens Dependent
Picture Numbering   set to CONTINUOUSLY
AUTOREVIEW =OFF ( Or on if you prefer, but remember you have only 1
battery....)
AUTO Power OFF = 5 Minutes

The rest of the settings are STANDARD or Don't care.....

NOW go out and make images......

M8. Anyone got any tips on how to get the damn thing into "Picture" mode so
I can tweak the ISO settings? I don't understand the menu well enough to do
it consistently.
