This year was an odd one for Samoa, Friday 30th December 2011 did not exist.
They have jumped from UTC-11 to UTC+13 so that they overlap with Australian
and New Zealand time zones much better, however American Samoa is still on
the original time zone!

This makes Apia an hour ahead of NZ, so currently just after 11:00am on
Sunday 1st January 2012

Happy New Year

In Apia, the capital of Samoa, it is currently 23:59 on Friday, so the Leica
Users Group 'For-sale Friday' is now closed until next week.

It is no longer Friday anywhere in the world.
