Thanks, Brian.  That may explain why my local ISP folks are not having much 
luck in getting my situation corrected.  There are some other options, but I 
will be looking for signing up for email only, so the large carriers don't 
offer what I need.  I may have to resort to using my Gmail address as a last 
resort.
