These shots were taken at Samburu, a dry, semi desert ecosystem in Northern Kenya where the Reticulated or Somali Giraffe, a sub species, is found: These giraffe tried to cross the Ewaso Nyiro River, but found the current too strong and returned. An Oxpecker seems very happy to see them, though! http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya2011/20110924_0231Samburua.JPG.html The Oxpecker Line: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya2011/20110924_0242Samburua.JPG.html Feeding: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya2011/20110924_0386Samburua.JPG.html Portrait: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya2011/20110924_0247Samburua.JPG.html Criticism and comments, as ever, welcome.
