As for the Louve, don't expect to see it all in one visit is probably the best advice I can give <grin>. I used to have a season ticket so I could pop in when ever I wanted. The part that sticks in my mind are is the area with the Roman funeral portraits from Egypt. These are not stylised, they are obviously portraying the original 'sitter'. Wonderful things. One tip, if the entry in the main pyramid has very long queues, there's another entrance in the underground shopping centre near by - 'Carrousel du Louvre' - the entrance is on rue de Rivoli on the same side as the Louvre itself. I don't know if it's still the case, but the Louvre used to have free admission on the first Sunday of each month. However, this attracted every cheapskate in Paris, and the queues were always horrendous. Pay the Euros and go on another day.
