Thanks, but I think you overstate.  I just thought I'd share some of the 
interesting pictures that are in my father's collection as the events recede 
in time. I'll have to scan more as I get the chance.  My dad documented his 
time in the service in pictures, starting with shots of basic training in 
1941, then overseas duty in new Guinea and Australia. I have a report on the 
daily operation of the 8th Photo Squadron's lab that boggles me.  It details 
the volume of large format film and prints turned out under harsh tropical 
conditions in tent darkrooms, etc.

Back in civilian life after the war he was photographer for his fraternity 
while studying under the G.I. Bill at the Chicago College of Optometry, 
picturing of student life there.  (So in a way he was a university 
photographer too.)
