Had lunch Sunday afternoon with my family, no devices present. At the table
next to ours, two adults (mother and father?) and teenager (daughter?) all
"connected," but not to each other. Both adults on their iPads and the teen
on her iPhone, for almost the entire meal. They ate, and with rare
exceptions spoke only to their servers, and left.

All too common these days.
