To illustrate why it is better to avoid wide angle lenses, instead using a 
longer lens and stitching more images together, consider these two examples:

A rather unsuccessful example using the 24mm lens is:

A much better effort using a 50mm lens is:

Both with the M8, so if you need to translate the focal lengths to their 
20th century analogs, multiply by 1.3.
