Subject: [Leica] OT: Firweire 400/800

I have a PC and a Nikon Coolscan 4000 scanner.  Worked fine on my old Dell,
but, for my new computer, I need to order a PCI Express Firewire card.

 

They make Firewire 400 and 800 cards.  The Coolscan is a Firewire 400
machine.  Can I plug a Firewire 400 peripheral into a Firewire 800 connector
and card?
