OK.. yes, it is a scam... BUT....

My Wife's Email got grabbed about a month ago.... Same scam message was sent
to a friend, that had the common sense to check with us, first.
OK, no problems, yet....

Then my Wife started complaining that she had not received any emails in the
past day.... Rare for a woman that gets about 100 messages a day that she
must respond to...

Checked with my Earthlink Account... ... at first glance, all looks OK....
then I found it....

The scammer had redirected her email to HIS account ( of course, it was a
free email server..)....

Fixed that, changed her Password, all is well. Her emails redirected gave
the scammer a bunch of names and email addresses to use, and some info that
he could use to engage them in the ruse.

All is well, but you gotta ask... how did this happen? How did HER email
address and password get hacked? Public place / WIFI use of her email?
Her Iphone/regular email account ?

Don't know.... but be careful....
