If it actually causes a bit of discussion, Leica may well raise an
eyebrow. They heard the user issues with the M8 and then developed the
M9 with most of those issues addressed as a response.
I agree with it for the most part.
At least he has experience using an M9 for an extended period of time
which has given him more perspective than just handling it in a
shop.
