One of the really great things about some of the art apps, and the iPad, is 
learning that this new thing generates creativity AND skill.

I sketch on mine, and modify photos, artsy style, for my friends and my 
grandkids.  They love it, and so do I.  

For photo manipulations, I'm using Photo FX Ultra, an app from Tiffen.
