Subject: [Leica] M7 repair advice sought

I e-mailed or phoned five recommended Leica technicians recommended  
via LUG replies.  Don Goldberg's reply seemed the best to me.  He  
thinks it is a contact assembly that he can replace for $180.  Of  
course, there can be no guarantee his guess is right.  However, he  
says that when this needs replacing, it sometimes has the symptoms I  
described.  He gets my Hail Mary pass!
