How Deep Is It? In the City, at Least 20 Inches.
As of 7 a.m. there were 20 inches of snow in Central Park, according to the
National Weather Service. The deepest snowfall in the region was 31 inches
in Elizabeth, N.J.

Here are some other snowfall totals from the weather service and its
spotters:

*Kennedy International Airport, 7 a.m.: 15.5 inches.

*La Guardia Airport, 7 a.m.: 14 inches.

*Newark Liberty Airport, 7 a.m.: 24.2 inches.

*Bedford Park, the Bronx, 6 a.m.: 22 inches.

*Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, 11 p.m.: 18 inches.

*Fresh Meadows, Queens, 12;25 a.m.: 14.2 inches.

*Great Kills, Staten Island, 10:50 p.m.: 16 inches.

*Lyndhurst, N.J., 2:30 a.m.: 29 inches.

*Long Beach, Long Island, 2:45 a.m.: 16 inches.

*Yonkers, N.Y., 12:30 a.m.: 16 inches.
