Is there a lot of ripples on the sea surface in front of the rocks or it is flocks of sea birds? Mads" The appearance of the sea surface in front of the rocks is affected by reflected sunlight from the east (left) as well as by waves and by the kelp that is floating just below the surface. I did not pay any attention to the many seabirds such as gulls and cormorans in the area. Oliver PS: One of my favorite images of this area is Henry Gilpin's dramatic 1965 picture of the Coast Highway. (In Google or Bing Images, search for "henry gilpin" and "highway" and "photo" and "black and white").
