As a Guardian subscriber I loaded this app as soon as they announced it. 
Superb photography, and, as you say, gratifying that the Guardian's value of 
photography still seems to be there.
I find the iPad the most useful computer-style item I have owned, and use it 
rather than my main computer for most things round the house. I even have an 
app which has a palette of Photoshop commands available on it, though my 
pitiful PS skills need enhancing before it is that much use...
