The biggest reason NOT to believe there is a major announcement coming for a
R solution is that there is no hype on it.

Leica did a brilliant job with the M9 Rollout.....  Someone really did
change the fundamental way in which Leica gets the market in a tizzy over
its major new products....

I would be much surprised if Leica did not learn really well how to get
(free) advertising out there among us, and even more surprised if they ever
go back to their older ways.....

I did read somewhere that Leica is announcing a new Leica Store in Tokyo  (
I think that is correct, it could have been somewhere else).... the opening
is in a few months, and that could be the venue for a new major
announcement, without competing with the fanfare from N, C, or the
others.....
