my bad -- you're right

i forgot those days of tape backups where there was a tape for each day of 
the week, so you were safe if you remembered that you accidentally deleted a 
file--if you remembered within seven days that is

Guess that brings me back to the power of TimeMachine which can remember 
full machine states

it also reminds me that REALLY effective backup can turn into a full time 
job that would prevent generating new files;^)
