I've tested lots of scanning software.  I don't want to have to scan 
all of my slides more than once.  The only software that makes a 
noticeable difference is Lasersoft by Silverfast.  Their HDR software 
with the various film targets makes a big difference in my 
scans.  It's expensive but, like Leica, you get what you pay for!
