Subject: [Leica] A tad noncommittal X1 review

In fairness... most of the shutter delay in compacts is due to the nature of
the cameras....
a) lens pops out from behind some form of lens cap.. either the lens or the
cap or both move
b) AF
c) measure and set F-Stop
d) let her rip.....

The X1 has no AF, no protection of the lens, and therefore should be
faster....

Then again..... if it were great, wouldn't they brag about it?

, the test doesn't give 
times for shutter lag which is the singular most annoying thing about 
compacts. I'll have to try it out at a dealers myself when they get some in.
