Roger Hart asked:
'A Leica shooting friend ask if I knew of a source where he could get one of

the little red plastic dots that are used on M lenses to allign the lens

mount with the camera. The one on his 50mm Summicon has fallen off and been

lost. Any suggestions?"

Have him go to a bead shop or a sewing findings store. They sell little
plastic beads and half beads for sewing on dresses and T shirts.
Alternatively go to a Michaels or A. C. Moore art store. Most large shopping
malls have them. They sell similar beads. If you can't find a half bead to
fit, buy a whole bead and file one side flat. It happened to me on one Leica
lens. I simply painted the depression with a touch of orange paint. If you
try to but the bead from Leica it will probably cost $79 and will have to be
shipped form Solms.
