Perhaps a different reason for them not supporting the 135mm on the M8 was
that it would have meant having three sets of framelines in the window.

The brochure says that use of the 135mm with the M9 is only recommended when
stopped down two stops from f3.4, so in effect they're saying the
rangefinder isn't accurate enough to use the lens wide open.
