Subject: [Leica] The brilliance of Leica pricing

As we Leica owners know, once you purchase a Leica camera or a Leica
lens, you'd get sort of price desensitized. $2995 for a 50/1.4? No
problem. Sure, you can get a Nikon D700 plus a 50/1.4 for that price,
but hey, it's a Leica. Just save up the pennies, and soon you can get
the best 50/1.4 known to mortals.

And so it goes for the 24/1.4. That must be the most brilliant piece
of 24/1.4 out there, despite the fact that a D3+24/1.4+35/1.4 would
cost less.

But now Leica is giving us a choice!!! If you don't have that 24/1.4
already and are lusting for that magic 35ish view on your M8, you can
get a M9 instead, just for a few thousand quids more!! And since the
35/1.4 is almost pedestrian, you should already have it in your bag (I
know I do, the 1.4 ASPH sing sweetly to my ears).

In 4 days, we will know.
