These guys want to create a user-programmable camera from off the shelf 
parts.  The idea is to try features that aren't currently available in 
current camera designs by letting people tweak the firmware.

Of course most of the people here would rather just record what the 
sensor sees then make something out of the photo later, and I'm not sure 
that the things they are suggesting are needed features, but the concept 
behind the camera is interesting.
