[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]With the help of Howard Cummer and David Llado I did my first conversion of an R Summilux 80mm/1.4 3 cam by leitax adapter for use on a Nikon D700 body... the first limited test shots look technically excellent... The conversion went well, though at one point the removal of the three very tiny black shroud screws had me in fits, as I could barely see the screw heads...that btw was the toughest part, it was just slow, careful work, requiring plenty of patience...and not giving up. I will do some shooting tomorrow... Now I can shoot my Leica R lenses on an excellent full frame, digital body, with wonderful high ISO performance. I plan also to convert an R Summilux 50mm 1.4 in the same way, very soon... If encouraged by the results, I may be inclined to do more later. I thank you all for your encouragement and help... Steve
