It is a perfect backup: inexpensive, robust, fully mechanical (except the light meter, of course) and it takes my Leica lenses. Because my M8 has until now been 100% reliable, the Bessa has not had to perform its backup function. But just to make sure it is used, I shoot a roll of film in it from time to time. I just got my second roll of the year back from the lab, and have added 10 images to my film gallery: http://www.greatpix.eu/gallery/7590141_XFqsu#621124155_9DEvA-O-LB and the next 9. All on HP5+, developed by Copia Lab in Barcelona and scanned on my Epson V700. Obviously, given that it has taken me 3 months to shoot this roll, the selection is somewhat mixed. As always, comments and critique are welcome and appreciated.
