Unless you are finding cropped "DX" M glass that others are not the
imminent full frame Leica M shooting coming from Leica or anywhere else
should not be a threat to M8 shooters.
All the glass you are getting for your M8 you get to then use full frame on
your M9.
Many of us went through that with our Canons and Nikon DSLRS.
Some glass you want to use more. Some less... As a result.
Your glass gets wider.

There is or was no cropped M glass.
So all your lenes get to do what they were designed to do in the first
place. Its totally a win win situation. Its just the the M8 bodies
themselves are going to be getting a lot less use later.
Unless you are shooting birds with one one a long lens.
Not all that likely.
