I've only ever seen this "highest end" large sensor gear in the studio (or location shoot). I've never seen a "rich amateur" carrying this large sensor gear. It is (until the S2) bulky, heavy, slow and requires serious computer time and skill to get to the end result (I suppose one could hand the files to one's lightroom tech on staff). I would not doubt that the S2 may find its way into the hands of rich amateurs because it's not much bigger than the biggest Nikon or Canon and would certainly look good on the hood of the "right" automobile, in the galley of the "right" yacht or ship or against the Armani fabric. ;~) Regards, George Lottermoser george at imagist.com http://www.imagist.com http://www.imagist.com/blog http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist On Jul 30, 2009, at 12:11 PM, Frank Filippone wrote: > The major market opportunity for these high end MF digital cameras > is not > the pro.... it is the rich amateur.
