Subject: [Leica] Photoshop CS4 camera raw fringing correction

I'll add my two cents with Tina in while the software can take out some of
the fringing caused with Canon wide angles on a 5D.... There are
drawbacks. At first glance, zoomed in 400 % it looks great.... but as you
zoom back, the image loses what I suppose one would call microcontrast.....
it just looks flat....

So I prefer the fringing that you don't notice in most practical
applications.... over the de-fringed versions that you do.... : )

However... the new Adobe camera raw can do a really good job with rescuing
overexposed areas of images.... I am extremely pleased with it in certain
applications.... even though I still prefer the look from Canon's software
for most.

Either way.... I am saving more of my images as raw files.. and hanging on
to some that I would have thrown out as forever hopeless not that long
ago...

Yes I'm still lurking even though not posting nor shooting much...
