Downfall is another excellent film of a different part of Germany's recent
history - and if you have a decent surround sound system will keep the
neighbors awake.

I much prefer the old east Berlin to the west. Whenever I've been there I've
stayed at this hotel in Mitte. Lots of bars and places to eat nearby, and a
name that's difficult to forget for an English speaker...
